Frequently Asked Questions
How much will it cost to repair my foundation?
It is impossible to determine over the phone the extent of your foundation problem. In order to give you a quote for the repairs you may need, we will schedule an appointment with one of our qualified estimators to come out and assess your foundation. As always, our estimates are given free of charge.
What type of foundation repair method do you use?
We use helical steel piers to support and raise a foundation. We have used many methods over the years, and even have a patent on a couple of methods; however, we have found the helical, steel piers to be the most proven method for our area.
How long have you been in business?
We have been in the foundation repair business since 1976. Our family started in the concrete and construction industry in 1961 and from this we saw the need for a trusted foundation repair company. Our knowledge in the concrete and construction area went hand-in-hand with foundation repair.
To what depth do you install your piers?
In order to properly support the foundation, a pier needs to reach stable bearing. We install our piers until they reach this supportive layer. It varies from region-to-region as to what depth stable bearing might be.
Do we need to be home during the repair process?
No, it is not necessary for you to be home during the repair. We understand and appreciate that people have busy lives and cannot always take off work or rearrange their schedule.
Are you insured?
Yes, we are! We highly recommend that you choose a company that is insured for your own protection.
If we are remodeling a home, does it matter in what order we do the repairs?
Yes, it does! The foundation supports the rest of you home and it is imperative that you have it fixed first if there is a problem. If you wait to fix the foundation after you have repaired or replaced other areas (such as roof, paint, flooring ect.), you could very likely have to replace or repair them again after the foundation is fixed.
How long does a typical foundation repair take?
On average, the typical foundation repair can be completed in 1-3 days.
Is there anything we need to do prior to the arrival of the foundation repair crew (move furniture, carpet, ect.)?
Unless otherwise stated by our estimator or scheduling department, it is not necessary for you to do anything prior to our arrival.
Should I get other estimates?
Yes, we recommend that customers get other estimates. This allows you to make a more informed decision about your foundation repair. We have listed a few key things you should consider when choosing a foundation repair company on our website.
Are drainage repairs important and necessary?
Yes, improper drainage can ultimately cause foundation problems. If you have had foundation repair work done, it is important to correct the drainage issue so that further foundation problems do not occur.

Does your warranty cover the entire house?
Our warranty covers the area where we have installed piers. If we install piers on one side of the house, that side of the house is covered under our warranty for the life of the house. It does not cover the entire house. If you want your entire perimeter of the house covered under warranty, piers would need to be installed all the way around the perimeter of the house.
